Divorce therapy & Collaborative divorce coaching for people that already had a divorce or are in the thick of one now. We walk with you through the highs and the lows while helping you stay grounded in the hardest moments.
Keep the process more grounded, especially when children and long term relationships are involved.
Move through hard conversations with more clarity, less chaos, and less emotional whiplash.
Create a stronger foundation for co-parenting, healing, and whatever comes next.
Some divorces are loud from the start. Some are quiet and heartbreaking. Some are full of grief, guilt, anger, relief, and confusion all at once. When children are involved, the weight gets even heavier. You are not just trying to get through the end of a marriage. You are trying to figure out how to do it without blowing up the whole family system in the process.
This is where collaborative divorce support can matter. A place to slow things down, stay more regulated, communicate more clearly, and move through a painful season with more care than destruction.
You can know the marriage is ending and still want to handle it with care. Those two things can exist at the same time.
Flourish Wellness helps you move through your divorce without things getting more chaotic than they already are. You are still going to feel what you feel. It is still hard. But you are not reacting the same way, not getting pulled into the same patterns, not making decisions you have to clean up later.
We work on things like:
Something shifts when the goal stops being “win” and starts becoming “move through this without losing ourselves in it.” There is still grief and loss. But there is also more clarity, relief, and more room to make decisions you will not have to spend years cleaning up later.
When children are involved, that matters even more. You start building the next version of your family with more care and ability to stay present in the middle of something incredibly hard.
We think that’s the best thing in the world. We really do.
At Flourish Wellness, we are not here to referee or push you into more conflict. We are here to help you slow this down and understand what is happening. That way you can move through it with more clarity and less damage. Our goal is to have you come out of this hard moment still feeling connected to yourself and able to build a life that feels like yours again.
Collaborative divorce is a more cooperative way to move through divorce where both people are working toward resolution without escalating conflict. It often involves attorneys and other professionals, but the emotional side of the process is where things can still fall apart.
Working with a collaborative divorce therapist gives you support staying clear, less reactive, and able to have the conversations that need to happen without making things harder than they already are.
At Flourish Wellness, our divorce therapists are available locally in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and are available more broadly through coaching, so you can move through divorce with less damage.
"Patricia had provided me a safe space to process through any event I’ve needed while also giving me access to tools I can use to help manage anxiety outside of sessions. She also challenges my statements and thoughts to make me see things in a healthier light."
Most therapy feels like a transaction. You show up, you talk, someone nods, you leave. Nothing moves. It is not supposed to feel that way.
Flourish Wellness was built by someone who sat on the other side of the room first. Our founder Patricia brings both professional expertise and lived experience to this work. She has walked through burnout, learned to navigate life with ADHD through a new lens, and experienced the healing that can come after betrayal, loss, and major life transitions. She has rebuilt, restored meaningful relationships, and learned how to release the ones that could not be repaired. She has also navigated single parenthood and the beautiful, complex work of blending a family. She does not just speak about healing. She has lived it, practiced it, and built a life that reflects it.
Sessions here move. They are warm, they are real, and they will sometimes make you laugh in the middle of something hard. That is not a coincidence. That is the work.
Many of our clients stay for years. Some move from therapy into life coaching when life shifts. The relationship does not have to end just because the crisis does. And because we are private pay, your records stay yours and no insurance company gets a seat at the table.
If you have tried therapy before and it felt like talking to a wall, we get it. This is different. Because the people doing this work have actually been where you are.
We are Gottman-trained and EMDR-certified and all of it matters. But the reason clients stay for years is not the modality. It is the connection.
This practice serves clients of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities. Faith integration is available for those who want it. If that is not you, you are equally at home here.
We are private pay because your mental health record belongs to you. Not your employer. Not your insurance company. You.
We start right where you are. Overwhelmed, unsure, maybe already exhausted by how heavy this feels. That is okay. You do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up.
We slow this down and look at what is really going on. Not just the decision to divorce, but everything underneath it. The patterns, the reactions, the conversations that keep going in circles. That is what we start to make sense of.
You start moving through this differently. Not perfect. Still hard. But you are clearer, less reactive, and not getting pulled into the same patterns. You’re making decisions you can actually live with after this.
No. Some people come in knowing the marriage is ending. Others are in that painful in-between where they need help slowing things down and figuring out how to move forward with less harm.
Not exactly. Couples therapy is often focused on healing, repair, and reconnecting. Collaborative divorce support is focused on helping people move through separation and divorce with more clarity, less damage, and healthier communication. These pages should cross-link because some couples are still discerning while others are ready to separate.
Not necessarily. Patricia works with individuals going through divorce and with couples choosing to navigate the process collaboratively. If your partner is not interested in the process, individual support is still enormously valuable. You do not have to be doing this together to benefit from support that was built for what you are going through.
Collaborative divorce is a process in which both partners commit to ending their marriage outside of court, with the support of legal and therapeutic professionals working together toward a peaceful resolution. Unlike traditional divorce proceedings which are often adversarial, collaborative divorce prioritizes communication, mutual respect, and protecting the family system especially when children are involved. It is not reconciliation. It is choosing to end the marriage without destroying the people inside it.
Very little therapeutic support has been designed specifically for divorce as its own distinct experience. Most divorce support falls under generic grief counseling or couples therapy, neither of which fully addresses what divorce actually is. Patricia, owner of Floruish Wellness, has a doctoral dissertation is specifically on divorce and relationship fracture. She has built her practice around filling that gap because she lived it herself and saw how little was actually designed for it.
Yes. This is one of the biggest reasons people seek this kind of support. The work often centers around protecting children from adult conflict, improving communication, and creating a healthier co-parenting path.
Divorce therapy addresses the emotional, relational, and identity impact of divorce including grief, trauma, and the psychological weight of the process. Divorce coaching focuses more on practical navigation, communication strategies, co-parenting planning, and building forward. At Flourish Wellness both are available and both are frequently blended because the process requires both. Therapy is available for Florida residents. Coaching is available across the United States and internationally.
Extremely. Divorce is one of the most depleting experiences a person can go through, particularly for high-functioning adults who are also trying to maintain their work, their parenting, and their exterior composure through the entire process. The exhaustion that builds during divorce is real and it deserves real support.

Not quite ready to request a consultation? That is completely okay. Send a message and we will take it from there.
We offer both in person and virtual sessions. If you come in person, you can expect a calm, welcoming space just a short walk from the ocean. If it feels right, we can even take your session outside for a walk along the beach. You may also be greeted by Gandalf, our resident therapy cat. He is in on select days only and clients are always notified in advance. Allergies? The office is thoroughly cleaned on days he is out. He leaves no trace. A true professional.
