Patricia McGlothlin is a licensed mental health counselor, certified life coach, and doctoral candidate who works with adults navigating betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse recovery, couples in crisis, adult ADHD, collaborative divorce, and high-functioning burnout. She helps people who have been carrying something heavy for a very long time finally figure out what it actually is and what to do about it. The outcome is not just feeling better. It is building a life that is genuinely, actually yours.
Patricia brings both professional expertise and lived experience to this work. She has walked through burnout, betrayal, grief, and the work of starting over, and has experienced what it means to heal, rebuild, and create a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and aligned. She has navigated divorce, single parenthood, and the beautiful complexity of blending a family, while also experiencing the work of repairing meaningful relationships. She did not choose this work simply because it interested her academically. She chose it because she has lived the kind of healing and transformation she now has the privilege of helping others pursue.
That is why she became a therapist, a lifecoach, and a doctoral candidate writing her dissertation on the very thing most therapists treat as an afterthought. This work is not a career for her. It is a calling.
In session, Patricia is what she describes as your most brilliant best friend. She will sit with you in the hard part for as long as it takes. She will also tell you what she actually sees and what she thinks you should do about it. Her clients consistently say the same thing: she has a way of making you feel completely accepted for who you are while also telling you what you need to hear. That combination is rare. It is what this practice is built on. And the work does not stop when therapy ends.
Patricia is a woman of faith who believes deeply that everyone deserves healing, regardless of background, belief, or identity. Her clients include people of all faiths, no faith, and every identity in between. Everyone is welcome here.

Working with Trish feels less like therapy and more like coffee with the most brilliant friend you have ever had. The kind who lets you say the thing you have never said out loud and then tells you exactly what she actually thinks about it.
She is warm. She is direct. She will not let you stay stuck. And she will tell you the truth in a way that somehow makes you feel more like yourself, not less. That is just her vibe.
Patricia McGlothlin holds a master’s degree in counseling and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is currently completing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Liberty University, where her dissertation focuses on divorce and relationship fracture. She is Gottman Method trained and EMDR trained, and holds four coaching certifications including divorce, human flourishing, relationship, and career coaching. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota, the International Counseling Honor Society.
Her clinical work is grounded in her own lived experience with narcissistic abuse, divorce, single parenthood, and rebuilding. She did not stumble into these specialties. She built a practice around the exact experiences she has lived through and come out the other side of.

Flourish Wellness is private pay only. Superbills are available for possible out of network reimbursement. Many clients choose self pay because it offers more privacy, more flexibility, and more personalized care.
Our current private-pay rate is $200 per 50-minute session with a fully licensed master’s-level clinician.
We do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your benefits.
Because coverage varies by plan, your insurance company is the best resource to confirm whether your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, whether you have an out-of-network deductible, and what portion of the session fee may be reimbursed.
Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions. We are happy to help!

If it feels right, we can even take your session outside for a walk along the beach. You may also be greeted by Gandalf, our resident therapy cat. He is in on select days only and clients are always notified in advance. Allergies? The office is thoroughly cleaned on days he is out. He leaves no trace. A true professional.
